Scott and his wife Joanne and their 3 children have lived in Old Saybrook for 18 years. Both Scott and his wife are educators. Joanne teaches at OS Middle School and Scott is Associate Principal Grades 7 through 12 in Portland and is Principal of the Middle School.
The Giegerich family is very active in the community, their church, and in many other extra-curricular activities.
Most likely you have seen Scott on the soccer field, coaching, refereeing, and yes, even playing in the over 40 league in town; or perhaps at the high school as his children participate in swimming, soccer, track, and dance.

I have lived in Old Saybrook all of my life, with the exception of military service.
My common sense and knowledge of the community I credit to my previous employment and current volunteer work. I have worked as a carpenter, land surveyor, in the movie theater industry, member of the US Navy and US Navy Reserve, police officer, and CT State tax agent.
In more recent years my assignments took me to many parts of the State from Danbury to Danielson and Stamford to Stonington, having retired in 2009.
This past tax season for 2010 I volunteered for the IRS VITA Program (tax preparation for the 2010 filing return year). This is the first year I have participated with The Westbrook Honor Guard (last military honors given to a veteran at the Church or Gravesite), and I have been on the Board of Directors for The Old Saybrook Riverside Cemetery for several years and I am currently assisting with a new data input computer program.
I am a graduate of: The Old Saybrook School System, Connecticut School of Electronics, Middlesex Community College, and Central Connecticut State University. I successfully completed each program as sought. I hold an Associate Degree in Business, Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology/Public Safety and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
My hobbies include woodworking, photography, motorcycles, ballroom dancing, and aviation as I hold a private pilots license.

Mario Gaboury has served on the Old Saybrook Board of Education for 12 years and as Chairman of the Board for the last three years. During this time, he has led a remarkable Board of Education, working with a great group of administrators, staff, parents and students, to continue to improve our already high-performing school district while being fiscally prudent so our taxpayer’s hard-earned dollars are very well spent.
Mario is a Professor of Criminal Justice, and currently the Acting Dean, at the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences at the University of New Haven.
A Connecticut native, Mario has lived in Old Saybrook since 1994. He is married to Kelly Butler Gaboury. Kelly and Mario are proud of the fact that their two children are fourth-generation Old Saybrookers!

Kelley Kennedy is a Clinical Project Manager for Covidien, where she oversees the operational and financial aspects of multiple US and internationally based clinical trials. Prior to Covidien, Kelley worked as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator in the Neurology department at Mount Sinai Medical Center working on various Multiple Sclerosis trials and at New York University Medical Center in Pediatric Cardiology. Tom Farnham is the principle owner of Farnham Associates, a Manufactures’ Representative Agency covering the electrical distribution market in Connecticut and western Massachusetts. The Agency has been in business for over 20 years and represents some of the largest manufactures’ in the industry.
Upon graduation from the University of Connecticut (1969), Tom worked for Metallics, Inc., a national manufacturer of fasteners. He worked his way up to National Sales Manager before leaving to start his own company, Acorn Fasteners, which he ran for nine years prior to starting Farnham Associates.

I was born in Bridgeport, CT. Grew up in Fairfield and Bridgeport. Graduated from Fairfield University. Served in the U.S. Army from 1969-71. Coached in the Black Rock Little League (Bridgeport) for 22 years and was president for 8 more (Total 30 years). Served on Bridgeport’s Harbor Management commission for 18 years. I was employed as a math teacher at Kolbe Cathedral High School in Bridgeport since 1980 with the last 10 as assistant principal. Moved from Bridgeport to Old Saybrook in 2006 where I reside with my wife, Joan. I retired in June 2011.

About Dave
My name is Dave Dunlap and I have been a resident of Old Saybrook for 10 years. I’m running to become a member of the Board of Police Commissioners. My wife Tammi and I have loved living in Saybrook and educating our 4 children (Maggi, Cam, Abbi, and Scott) in our public school system. Maggi, Cam, and Abbi are now off to college, leaving Scott to complete his last 2 years at OSHS.
I work as the Director of Global Aviation Sales from a home office and the Old Lyme headquarters of Sennheiser Electronic Corp. Tammi works part time at CCC on Main St., in the Shoreline Food Pantry, and for Youth and Family Services as a music instructor. We are all active as Ministers at St Mark Parish in Westbrook.
Both Tammi and I were born in Southern California, and since being married lived there, as well as in Washington DC for a time. I have spent considerable time traveling overseas for business as well as living in Florida for more than a year for my previous company.
My goal as a member of the Board of Police Commissioners is to strengthen the mutual respect and trust between the Police Department and the citizens of Old Saybrook.
